Making a difference
Good training programme
Our bespoke hospitality training programme (including three months of paid work experience) for unemployed locals gets results and changes lives. In its first year, Good Hotel London trained 43 locals, of whom 72% landed a permanent job after their training. In Amsterdam, we trained around 100 people each year, with 70% finding structural employment. Good Hotel Antigua works closely with our local NGO partner, and the single moms of the NDG schools are the majority of our employees there. This brings our total number of Good Trainees across 3 locations to over 250 date. That's 250 lives changed, not just for these people, but also for their families and their communities, for years to come.
Profits to our partner non-profit
In our first year trading, Good Group donated approximately $80,000, and we are on track to donate $500,000+ per year to our NGO partner Ninos de Guatemala. This NGO has built three schools providing quality education for 500+ students in poor rural Guatemalan communities. We will soon also be donating to our Global Good Foundation to support additional causes and non-profits around the world that focus on education and entrepreneurship.
We seek out strategic partners to pursue our social business goals. These currently include the following:
With the Conduit
We have partnered with The Conduit, a new members club in Mayfair, which serves as a home for a diverse community of people passionate about social change. We collaborate in many ways, including by giving the opportunity for some of our Good Trainees to continue their journey at this socially minded members club.
Together with Booking.com, we have created special platform whereby Booking.com will give 7% of each reservation towards Good Groups charitable giving on any booking made on this platform. Please don’t book your Good Hotel stays through this link, but do book ALL OTHER hotels here.
