Good Hotels

Concept

Each Good Hotel partners with local NGO’s, educational institutions and offers the unique Good Training program. A custom-made training program which offers hospitality training to individuals from disadvantaged communities, helping them to integrate in the job market and give them a real perspective on a better future.

Getting the best out of people is the personal motivation of Marten Dresen and why this business model took shape. But this is not what guests see when looking at the brand initially. They are able to experience premium hospitality. Not in a complicated or traditional sense. It’s not about having walls decorated with freshly cut roses, but it’s about the ability to really connect and get to know the destination – pure designs, honest service and local collaborations.

All activities of the Good Hotel are profitable but run on a no-dividend-model.

Good Hotel Amsterdam

The floating Good Hotel Amsterdam was the first Good Hotel to open worldwide and stayed in the heart of Amsterdam for the course of a year.

The hotel was an abandoned platform (a former detention platform) which was re-purposed into a 144-room hotel which trained 96 long-term unemployed locals and helped 70% move successfully out of state welfare.

The unique business model of Good Hotel was awarded with a REBEL award by LE in Miami in 2015 for biggest innovation/disruption in the hotel industry.
